In this presentation, Claire Fyson and M.J. Mace of Climate Analytics discuss carbon dioxide removal approaches, such as afforestation and reforestation, Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS), Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage (DACCS), soil carbon sequestration, biochar, enhanced weathering, and other marine-based techniques. They look into the existing international processes addressing the governance of these approaches. This was the first of two expert overviews on this webinar on governance gaps related to large-scale Carbon Dioxide Removal. The presentations were followed by a half hour moderated Q&A session, during which audience members were invited to submit written questions via the Zoom chat.
