C2G and its Impartiality – Janos Pasztor

Janos Pasztor discusses C2G’s work on the governance of emerging technologies that intentionally seek to change the Earth’s climate system at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. In this clip, he emphasises C2G’s impartiality.

C2G it is not for or against the research, testing, or potential use of any proposed method or technology. These are choices for society to make. C2G does believe, however, that  urgent action is needed at all levels to reduce emissions and adapt to climate impacts, and that an honest and open conversation is needed around all potential measures to manage the increasing risks of climate change.
