Geoengineering: The Need for Governance
Scientists are exploring additional approaches to tackle the climate crisis, collectively known as geoengineering.
These include Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) and large-scale Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR).
All these approaches have risks, costs as well as potential benefits, and would need to be governed.
What kind of governance already exists?
